EVT recognises the importance of maintaining continuity of care between our emergency service and partner practices.

Following out-of-hours treatment, relevant clinical records and treatment information will be communicated to the patient’s registered veterinary practice.

Where clinically appropriate, patients can be discharged, transferred back to their primary care practice for continued management during normal working hours.

Patients requiring ongoing emergency or intensive care may remain hospitalised at EVT following discussion with the client and relevant veterinary teams.
