Emergency Pet Conditions

Difficulty breathing, breathing problems or choking

Seizures, fits, or repeated episodes of shaking

Collapse, unconsciousness, sudden weakness, or inability to stand

Severe bleeding or bleeding that will not stop

Suspected poisoning or ingestion of a toxic substance

Difficulty urinating, straining to urinate, or inability to urinate (especially in cats)

Bloated or swollen abdomen with repeated unsuccessful attempts to vomit (especially in dogs)

Major trauma or serious injury

Heatstroke symptoms including excessive panting, collapse, weakness, or bright red gums

Pale, blue, grey, or white gums

Persistent vomiting or diarrhoea (especially if blood is present)

Severe pain, crying out, extreme lethargy, or sudden unresponsiveness
